Product Description
This Common Core based activity facilitates higher order and critical thinking skills as your students collaborative write, plan, and publish a magazine. The activity is highly scaffolded with graphic organizers to guide students through each step of the process.

First, the students will search through magazines or online articles to find examples of magazine features. Then, they will collaboratively plan the contents of the magazine and determine group member roles. You may require students to write new articles or you may have them choose previous expository writings from their writing portfolios.

The activities include easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions throughout the whole process including the basic features of magazine articles and graphic organizers for effective planning.

The students are encouraged to collaborate, use their imaginations, be creative, and have fun.
