This game is called "Puissance 4," which is a game based on connecting four circles in a row. Students take turns speaking French phrases to claim spaces on the game board, competing to be the first to have 4 spots in a row. It plays similarly to TicTacToe, except with more possible variations.
This file aligns with Unit 3, Chapter 1 of the curriculum that I have designed. The instructional page, which shows the vocabulary from Unit 1, Chapter 1, is available for a free preview download. A cover page, instructional page, and game board are included in the complete file.
The English words/phrases (which students must say in French to claim their spot) are: geometry, science, algebra, history, Which is your favorite subject?, Which courses do you have?, Which subjects do you like?, a lot, I like geography, My favorite subject is math, I have french and english, I don't like gym, a little.
