Children will love sorting and re-sorting these pumpkin attribute cards!
Prep the pumpkin pictures by either printing them in color on card-stock or having them laminated. Print the Pumpkin Sorting Mat and mount it on large paper or have it enlarged to larger paper, like 8.5x11 or 11x17. I suggest laminating the mat as well if you’re going to place this at a math center.
Have the students look at the pumpkins and notice some of the ways, or attributes, that make them the same or different. Students should notice a difference in size, eye shape, nose shape, mouth, and whether they have a vine or not.
This is a great math center for practicing sorting and looking closely at different objects! It should generate some good math conversation as well—always a plus!
