Welcome to the Pumpkin Book Report. Book reports don’t have to be boring. Students love pumpkins. This report takes that fun and makes for a great way to write about your favorite book. Students write about a book of their choice on a great worksheet with the graphic of a pumpkin and its leaves.
This worksheet will work well with any age of students, but especially with students from second grade through fifth grade. Students will choose a favorite book and write about it on a worksheet with a pumpkin and leaves graphic. Students will fill out information on the book including title, author, and a drawing from the book. Then they can write why they like the book, who they’d recommend the book to, and what the book is about on the leaves. To make this item easier use only one leaf or none at all. After cutting out both the pumpkin and leaves, they can be glued together to make one graphic. It turns out really cute if you use green yarn to connect the leaves as if it were vines. This project works great for displays or bulletin boards especially in the fall and around Halloween.
