Great sheet to use after students have picked a pumpkin at a pumpkin patch or have a pumpkin to use and explore in the classroom! Includes two levels of pumpkin practice!
Students need to draw their pumpkin and circle its size (small, medium or large). They need to then weigh the pumpkin and count how many lines around. They also need to measure their pumpkin's height using cubes. They also will predict whether their pumpkin will sink or float, then test their hypothesis and circling whether the pumpkin sank or floated! This sheet does not require you to cut into the pumpkin to count seeds (*sigh of relief for some!*)
Page 2 (more challenging):
Students have to draw their pumpkin and circle it's size. They will then predict its height, circumference, and weight then check their measurements and weight. They also need to count the lines and seeds (this is the messy part!). They will also predict whether it will sink and float, then test it out.
Happy pumpkin picking!
