This emergent reader is perfect for Autumn!
“Read, Color and Read Again Reader"
This emergent reader is a wonderful resource for a study about the life cycle of pumpkins. When children see pumpkins everywhere they just naturally want to learn about how they grow. If your class visits the pumpkin patch in the Fall this emergent reader will help introduce the life cycle as well as be a great review afterwards. It is called “Look at the Pumpkin Seed" and is a printable emergent text that uses high frequency sight words and vocabulary words.
Targeted High-Frequency Words: a, at, can, green, I, it, look, orange, see, the
Vocabulary Words: seed, plant, grow, sprout, vine, flower, pumpkin, jack-o-lantern
Images and Printing: Prints in black and white and two per page which helps helps save paper when copying for the whole class.
Detailed cover for a ten page emergent reader. Includes follow-along touch dots to aid in tracking left to right.
The last page can be left off if you don't want the "I see a jack-o-lantern" page.
