This versatile resource offers your little learners a variety of fun and engaging ways to practice numerals to 20. The pumpkin themed cards can be used as matching tasks or as ordering tasks. This packet is a great value because it offers so many options in one packet. These cards complement autumn/fall, school, farm, harvest, or pumpkin themes. These activities are perfect for pumpkin patch/pumpkin farm field trip follow-up lessons. They work well for Thanksgiving, but may be used the entire fall season. There are no Thanksgiving specific images such a Pilgrims, Native Americans, or the Mayflower.
This resource is suitable for classrooms and learners who DO NOT celebrate Halloween. The pumpkin graphics are fall themed. No jack-o-lantern or other Halloween items are included in the graphics.

There is a page of 8 cards for each numeral from 1 to 20. There is a pumpkin card with a numeral, pumpkin seeds, dice, dominoes, counting fingers, pumpkin seed ten frames, MAB (Place Value) Blocks, and tally marks. This packet also includes a bonus set of 20 pumpkin cards with number words.
There are 39 response pages for optional use included in portrait and landscape format to offer differentiation opportunities and to allow for differences in terminology used in classrooms. There is a separate PDF in the zipped file for each format. There is a list of the response page options included in the information document in the zipped file.
You may select which format cards you want to use for your matching activities. Learners can match various combinations of the cards. For example they can match the numeral to the domino representation of the number, match the numeral to the number word, match the number word to the dice representation of the number, etc. You may choose to challenge your learners who are ready for more complex tasks by having them match 3 or more cards.
The cards may also be used for ordering tasks. Learners can put the cards in numerical order from 1 to 20 or skip count to 20 by 2s.
These developmentally appropriate activities are great for differentiation. Just pull the cards that best address any learner’s particular needs. There is no stigma for anyone about “being behind.”
This versatile resource can be used in a variety of ways to address numerals to 20. They are great for math centers, fast finisher activities, morning tubs, sensory bins, pocket chart tasks, partner games, Spot and Swat practice, magnetic cookie sheet games, and take home packets. They can be used as individual, group, or partner activities.
Print, laminate, and cut apart the cards. You may choose to cut out the pumpkins and use them as pumpkin shapes instead of cards. Printing the pieces on cardstock will offer durability. Store the pieces in your choice of zip top storage bags, envelopes, or zippered supply pouches. You can put adhesive magnetic circles on the back of the pieces and use a dollar store cookie sheet to make a magnetic learning activity. The cards may also be used in a sensory bin.
