PREPARE FOR HANDS-ON, SPOOKY FUN WITH THIS AMAZING RESOURCE!
Get kids measuring weight, circumference, and volume with this hands-on activity that challenges higher-order problem-solving and math skills. Students will find several attributes of a pumpkin using tools like a scale, a garbage can, and measuring tape. They will gather data, track their data, and use their data to solve problems regarding measurement and estimation. Students will empty the guts out of the pumpkin to estimate how many seeds are inside and they will get to create their own Jack-O-Lantern using their beloved gourd. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT AND LEARNING!

Learning is unbelievably exciting with this hands-on
activity based on pumpkins. My students love this activity right before Halloween and parents also find it to be so fun and joyous! I love completing this activity right before our classroom Halloween party.
