Great for K-3- I have used it in all of these grade levels, and my students loved it!!! The preview shows the entire purchase, so you know exactly what you are getting!!
A lot of learning takes place using pumpkins with these fun math activities. First, arrange to have some parent volunteers so you can put 4 to 5 children in a group. When the volunteers come to the classroom for Pumpkin Math, they bring with them a newspaper and a large pumpkin. Have a container for every group with all the materials they will need. The volunteers can choose which activity to complete first. However, activities 5 and 6 need to be last.
Teacher preparation: Arrange your volunteers. You can use the volunteer note I made, or simply call parents. Bring in a cooler or a large container for the sink or float activity. Fill the container with water. Have this station right outside the classroom door, so the surprise isn’t ruined for others! Also, bring in a scale for weighing the pumpkin. Prepare the containers for each group. Print and laminate several ten frame cards for every container. Laminate all 6 activity cards for each container. Sit back and enjoy the fun!
