There are 6 math center activities for you to use with your class over 14 ways this fall! This will keep your centers going for a few weeks. =)
There is a "Pumpkin Point" game which can be used in a small group math center to assess number recognition. The teacher calls out the name and the students quickly point to the number or cover it with a pumpkin manipulative. There are other ways to use this included in the pack!
Next is a "Pumpkin Roll and Cover" game which is used with dice. This game practices counting and number recognition.
Also included are "Pumpkins in Order" cards which can be used in a pocket chart for ordering numbers or as flash cards. This pack has four pages of before/after pumpkins. Laminate and have students use an expo marker to write in the number that comes before or after the pumpkin. You can also use magnetic letters!
This pack also has two pages of number/number-word matching. Laminate and have students use an expo marker or wiki stix to match the number to the number word. This is a great way to include literacy in your math centers as well. =)
Last but NOT least is a student favorite in my class - "Pumpkin Play-Doh Mats." Students read the number and create piles of play-doh to correspond. You can use other manipulatives as well. This is just the beginning - there are more ideas inside the pack.
Please enjoy these during the fall months! They keep my students engaged and excited. =) Please print on cardstock and laminate for durability.
