Fall is a fantastic time of year to engage your students in MATH!
This Pumpkin Math resource is a great way to engage your students. I usually read by Margaret McNamara. This book will guide students on how to best predict how many seeds are in a pumpkin. It will also help them choose a strategy for counting their seeds!
In this activity students predict how many seeds are in 6 pumpkins. Then, they are split into groups to gut pumpkins and count the seeds. After counting there are some place value activities to do with seed counts.
