Perfect for the cool, crisp fall months, this simple worksheet is excellent practice for beginning rhythms. This activity gives students practice with composition; drawing ta's, ti-ti's, and sh's; and visual and aural practice with beginning rhythms.
Download comes with both colored and black and white copy of worksheet.
This is an activity my students LOVE! They thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to create something all of their own AND getting to show it off/share it with their peers. I will usually pick some to show underneath the document camera. The class will practice the rhythm together, and the proud owner of the pumpkin rhythm beams with pride (which brings joy to my heart!).
ADDED AS OF 9/20/2015
There is also a page that gives students the opportunity to use quarter note, quarter rest, beamed eighth notes, and 4 beamed 16th notes.
