I created a rubric and checklist for our Pumpkin Patch Riddles. The students were asked to create a riddle that connected to place value. Here, in the rubric and checklist, students were able to guide themselves while creating their spooktacular riddles. This activity was used at the beginning of our Go Math! series as we learned and reviewed place value and how to create and discuss word problems. I created pumpkins for the students to glue their riddles to and invited guest into our room to figure out the riddles as well as other classmates. If they guessed right...they received a treat!!!
