This pumpkin craftivity is a set of original pumpkin patterns. Pumpkins and accessories were hand drawn and digitally enhanced by me at Growing Smart Readers. Facial expressions were created by graphic artist, Krista Wallden. This art/writing project allows students to work with many different shapes and pieces. There’s plenty of opportunity to personalize these pumpkins.
There are 6 different characters including a blank pumpkin pal for those who just want to draw and cut out their own features. Each one will be approximately 14 inches tall with a top, and 12 inches wide with "arms" (not counting legs).
Make it a flip book! Although this can be simply an art project working with layering pieces, using perceptual, spatial and fine motor skills. As a language arts, creative writing project, your students will be adding another dimension to it. It depends on what you choose to do with this resource. You will find 4 writing prompt cards included in this file.
This is a fun set of pumpkin characters and accessories such as neckties, buttons, bows, hats, stem tops, people ears, leaves, scarves. You can have kids add real leaves, accordion legs, buttons, beads, beans, seeds, corn...anything goes!
Although, you can use regular paper... pumpkin patch pals look best when printed on sturdy paper, such as card stock or construction paper. They will last so much longer than if using regular paper. If you are mounting them on a backdrop paper, regular paper works fine!
