This preschool bundle has 8 different centers included in it. Below you will find a description of each activity.
Pumpkin Beginning Sounds:
This center activity is perfect for working on beginning sounds. Each pumpkin is labeled with a letter. There are 3 seeds with a picture that starts with that letter. Children match the seeds to pumpkins according to the beginning sound that they hear. There are also 3 worksheets included as well to reinforce the center. Each worksheet has 9 pumpkins with a picture and children cut and glue the seeds with letters to the match. The same activities are included for letters as well. Each pumpkin has a letter and there are 4 seeds with capital and lowercase seeds to match. There are also 3 worksheets that include matching lowercase and capital letters.
Pumpkin Patch Counting:
This fun math center has two different ways that it can be used. The first set has scarecrows that can be placed into the pumpkin patch once the child has counted how many pumpkins there are. The second set has a sign that children can write the amount on with a dry erase marker.
Pumpkin Patch Shape Match:
Pumpkin Patch Shape Match is a great way to work on shape recognition. Children will choose a pumpkin patch, identify the shape on the sign and then find 4-5 pumpkins with objects of that shape. Shapes included are: circle, diamond/rhombus, trapezoid, square, rectangle, pentagon, octagon, oval, hexagon, and triangle.
Pumpkin Patch Cutting Practice:
Cutting practice is a great way to practice cutting skills and build up those fine motor muscles. These pair well with any fall theme and I know for a fact my preschooler cannot get enough of these. They could sit and cut them all day. Print on colored paper for added fun!
This center is great for working on fine motor control. Print and laminate the cards. Children can then use a dry erase marker to trace the dotted lines. There are 12 cards included.
Where's The Pumpkin? Game:
This is a fun large group game that can help children work on number and letter recognition. Numbers 1-24 are provided as well as capital and lowercase letters. There is a small pumpkin as well to hide behind one of the cards. Children will close and cover their eyes while you hide the card. When they open their eyes, they will take turns guessing where the pumpkin is. Children must first say the number, letter or letter sound before they can move the card to see if the pumpkin is behind it. Play continues until the pumpkin is found.
Pumpkin Color Match Cards:
These matching cards are great for working on color sight words. Children will identify the color of the pumpkin and clip the word on the right. There are two sets included. The first set has all words in black text. The second set has the text colored to match the word.
Pumpkin Count and Clip Cards:
This low prep math center is great for fall. Print and laminate the cards and give children clothespins to clip the number. Children will count the number of objects and find the number on the right hand side. The set includes numbers 1-20. Print on colored paper to make it *POP*
