This is a great science experiment and the kids will love it. The students have to draw their pumpkin, weigh their pumpkin, measure their pumpkin, describe how the pumpkin feels and smells, count the pumpkin seeds, and finally carve a jack-o-lantern.
I ask for parent volunteers to come into the classroom and help out. I ask for parents to bring the following items: pumpkins, scales, carving tools, and newspaper.
The only thing I do to prepare for the science experiment is print off the worksheets. Remember to take pictures, they will be great in the year book!
