Use this booklet to create easy pumpkin science explorations! Use in centers, small groups, or rotations. Pages included:
Height- Use snap cubes to measure the height of your pumpkin.
Weight- Weigh your pumpkin on a scale.
Ribs- Count the ribs on your pumpkin.
Circumference- Measure your pumpkin using yarn.
Sink or Float?- Put your pumpkin in a tub of water to see what happens.
Sensory Tub- Have students explore the parts of a pumpkin with magnifying glasses, tweezers, their hands, etc.
Heavier or Lighter?- Students use a balance scale to weigh items to see if they're heavier or lighter than a mini pumpkin.
Pumpkin Tasting- Make or buy up to 4 pumpkin treats for your students to sample and graph their favorites (pumpkin cake, crackers, seeds, etc).
