This zip file contains 32 versions of pumpkin shading sheets, in letter size, legal size, and A4 sized paper. The pumpkin is an image that I have drawn (digitally for a clean image) for shading exercises using a variety of media. I use this pumpkin various ways in my grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 art classes. Sometimes we focus on shading using pencil or pen, using different techniques. Other times we practice blending with paint (if it's being used as a painting worksheet, I suggest photocopying it onto card stock/cover stock/index card, as it holds up better with paint). I used the legal size paper with 6 mini pumpkins (page to be cut in half so each student gets a strip of 3 pumpkins) with my senior students - they have to shade one using pencil and 'scrubbing', one in fine pen using crosshatching, and one in fine pen using pointillism.
Because pumpkins are very dimensional with bumpy wedges, there are lots of areas for highlights and shadows. I've found it's a great review for shading and blending!
In the zip file there are:
9 different versions on letter sized paper (8.5x11 inches)
7 different versions on legal sized paper (8.5x14 inches)
14 different versions on A4 paper
The various versions allow you to customize your lesson as you desire - some sheets have light sources, some do not. Some are designed to be printed out and cut in half for two students, to reduce paper, etc.
