Pumpkin Spice has become a cult classic trend every fall thanks in large part to Starbucks' social media marketing efforts of the Pumpkin Spice Latte. In this activity students will examine the popular Starbucks PSL campaign through completing a close reading activity and answering questions. Then students will work their way through the steps of the selling process as if they are a barista detailing how they would interact with the customer in each step of the selling process. The final part of the activity has students pitch a new social media campaign idea for a Starbucks beverage. All parts of the activity are editable, and a grading rubric and answer key for reading questions is included!
