This set was created to help your students begin to learn the difference between information that is true and not true. This will help them support their claim with evidence from the text, and will help them learn the features of fiction and non-fiction texts.
To play this game as a whole group, each student needs a set of true/false cards. As you read out each statement on a card, students can hold up their response card. In a small group, students can sort the cards using the header cards. A recording sheet is provided.
If some of the statements leave students wondering, they can use the “I Wonder” sheet to begin their research. Enjoy!
