I created this worksheet to help my students gain more repetition with formatting attributions and punctuating quotations. Usually, I try to spice up my grammar instruction in various ways. In this document, I have used quotations from famous cartoon characters as the basis for the dialogue. Students will read the quotation, decide which part is the attribution, and correctly punctuate the quotation / dialogue based on the guidelines at the top of the worksheet. An answer key is provided in which attributions are underlined and quotations are punctuated correctly.
