Encourage your students to review and practice their punctuation skills by looking at the right way to write dialogue! This lesson asks students to compare the ways in which dialogue is presented in a play script versus a novel and provides key criteria and and example exercise for students to work on. This lesson packet comprises a slideshow which introduces the lesson objectives, criteria for writing dialogue and tasks, complete with teacher notes; a teacher' s guidance sheet, and a student handout. It was originally used in conjunction with interactive notebooks, but would work as a stand-alone activity.
