This interactive smartboard lesson is a great way for students to learn and practice the 4 types of sentences and their punctuation. They will learn the names - declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory. This lesson begins with a mini lesson in the 4 types of sentences and their punctuation. Then it moves to an interactive game in which students will have fun playing "basketball". There are two basketball courts that are linked to slides with a question. After the student has answered the question, the slide will be self checking by revealing the correct answer as the ball goes through the hoop. The two basketball courts are 2 and 3 point questions depending on their difficulty. Students can choose whether they want a 2 or 3 point question. This can be played as a team or individually. A scoreboard is provided to keep score. All slides are linked for easy use. This lesson can be used as a whole group teacher led lesson or as an independent activity at a center or station. Easily used either way. Created with Smart Notebook for grades 2-4. MUST have SMART Notebook software to download and use this lesson.
