This lesson plan has 4 pages: Pages 1 & 2 define, give condensed rules, and provide original examples of 8 of the common punctuation marks: period, question mark, exclamation point, comma, semi-colon, colon, apostrophe, and quotation marks. Page 3 is a practice page; it contains a paragraph on figurative language but has no punctuation. The students have to provide it. They may not change the paragraph, only supply the punctuation. Page 4 is the answer KEY. This is a good review of the basic punctuation marks. It can be used as an in-class assignment or for homework. Teaching time will depend on how you correct this. I would correct this as a group in class.
