This is an update of the first punctuation pirates. Included is and 8 1/2 x 11 personal copy and an 11 x 17 poster copy for your room. I have also added a poster for my Australian friends, which include 'Full Stop' instead of period.
This is an adorable punctuation reference page for young students. It gives a definition of periods, question marks, quotation marks, commas, exclamation points, and apostrophes, along with an example of each.
This page is great to help young children learn to use the correct punctuation in their daily writing. It is a simple and easy tool for students and meets requirements from the new common core standards
I print enough copies for the entire class in color. I then put the reference page into a sheet protector that goes into a durable, plastic folder. This folder serves as a writing resource folder for each child. And it gets even better! I keep the folders with the punctuation page for next year's class!
