Project Summary: Students will create an animal using certain genotypes. With a partner, students create four offspring using Punnett Squares.
In this project, students will create an animal. Students will then get with a partner to discover what both of their animal's offspring will look like through Punnett Squares! Students will then draw four offspring.
Students will create an animal on their own (for homework or in class) using the guidelines given. Students can get CREATIVE! Their animal doesn’t only have to have one eye!
After students, complete their animal, students will list the genotypes for their animals. The list provided can be cut out to students individually or can be used if paired with a partner early.
When with their partners, students will use each of their genotypes for each trait to create a Punnett Square.
Students will then use these Punnett Squares to create four offspring with the traits shown in them. (A draft is recommended before the final copy.)
