PLEASE BE AWARE. This presentation is an abbreviated powerpoint of the Genetics, Human Heredity and Karyotyping and Pedigree presentation. This presentation only contains the genetics content and the concept of predicting phenotypes and genotypes by performing punnett squares. This is a concept taught for Biology I class in high school setting but can be modified for Jr. High students as well. The genetics problems range from simple Mendelian genetics of plants, human heredity, and sex-linked traits. Their are a couple of video clip links for cystic fibrosis and sickle cell disease. There are also some links to illustrations that can be used in class as well. There is also a link to an online lab for blood typing if you have access to computers or a classroom set of iPads for your students. This presentation also contains slides on how to perform dihybrid punnett square crosses. This presentation DOES NOT contain content on Karyotyping and pedigrees. That is in the larger presentation found in my store.
