Product Description
In the past, I used already made posters for “Star Student of the Day/Week.” While some students need a ready-made “frame” to make their posters, the ready-made posters do not depict the cultural aspect of the child. Civics is an important part of any Social Studies’ curriculum. Civics can easily begin with the child before the child moves outward to study other cultures in the world. Pupil of the Day/Week should celebrate a child’s culture. Each family can participate in the making of this poster at home. Children can then share their posters at “Morning Meeting,” or at other times in the day.

Parents can also be invited in to share more of the family’s culture – bring food into the classroom, music, traditional clothes, etc. Families can read also read a favorite book to the class from his/her culture.
