This packet is a whole unit on complete sentences and fragments.
On pages 3-5 of the packet it will start out with identifying a complete sentence from a fragment and it makes them explain why a phrase is/is not a sentence.
From there on pages 8-10 of the packet, they will identify sentences and fragments and also expand fragments into complete sentences.
On pages 13-14 there is a color coding activity in which they must decide if a sentence is a fragment or a complete thought. Once they have done that, they use the color codes to complete a riddle.
On pages 15-18 there is a game that you can use in groups or as a learning center activity that focuses on fragment and complete sentence identification.
On page 19 there is a cut-n-paste sentence sort.
Also included on pages in between are answer keys.
In the packet there are pages dealing with identification of sentences and fragments, making fragments into complete thoughts, and other activities to synthesize their knowledge of complete sentences.
