Counting coins is such a developmental skill for a classroom full of kiddos. This math station game called "Put it in the Piggy" allows students to practice counting coins in a fun and engaging way.
Once you've printed the game board, laminate it and place a spinner in the center of the circle (I usually use a paperclip, it's cheap and easy to replace if it's lost or damaged). Students should record their spins on the record sheet as they play. If they finish early this packet includes 2 money-related word problems for students to think about! This station game is a nice break from counting plastic coins!
This packet includes:
- Put it in the Piggy Game Board
- Student record sheets
- Half worksheet of money-related word problems
