Students will build a small puzzle and then write a super sentence with the words provided in the bank. Puzzles have been found to improve hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, problem solving, memory, and patience.
These activities are ready to print and go. Choose from the 25 puzzles provided. Use them as a whole class activity for a writing enrichment option. Use in your writing station during small groups or include in your homework as a ready made activity.
The 25 puzzles are provided as two different options. A small picture is provided as a guide for the easier version. No picture is also an option to make this activity more of a challenge. Two options for writing lines is also provided. The last third of this unit is a large picture of the completed puzzle. You can use these as a key. You can also cut up the squares, place them in an envelope and use in your puzzle center.
A freebie is provided, so that you may try this activity out with your students.
