I created this packet to address the different levels and needs of my students in my class.
First, there are addition puzzles with two different facts. Students need to match the
problems to the main piece (with the sum). The first set has pictures to count for each
sum. The second set I created with no pictures, for students who do not need that aid.
(You could also provide manipulatives for students to count as well).
Next, for my advanced students, I created puzzles where students relate multiplication to repeated addition. Included are sets for 2s, prime numbers using repeated 1s, 5s, and so forth from 2-30. An additional set with alternative multiplication problems and the matching addition problem are also included.
The last set goes from 40-100 where students use repeated addition with 10s and match to the multiplication problem.
I hope you find this packet useful! I used this as intervention/enrichment in my classroom, but it could also be used as a center as well. My more advanced students were working with the repeated addition problems independently while I worked with my struggling students on their fluency with their math facts using the addition puzzles.
Laminate the cards for durability and either mark the backs for self-checking, or for
keeping sets straight!
