This is a very popular review game I use that is patterned after the TV Game Show called $25,000 Pyramid. It is a PowerPoint file that allows groups of students to give clues to prompt answers of terms pertaining to the current period of study.
I use it with groups of 3,4, or 5 students at a time. One student is the "clue giver" and is facing the screen while the other group members are sitting with their backs to the screen unable to see the words. Each group has 45 seconds (which is kept by a timekeeper or using my watch) in which to try to correctly identify all 6 terms on each board. You can set your own rules, but I do not allow the clue givers to say any part of the term or they do not get the point for their team. There are 20 slides with six terms each. As each term is identified, the next term is revealed using the mouse or spacebar.
This is a highly energetic and engaging activity that my students really enjoy. You can use this as a template to modify your terms as you wish. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
