I created this cut and paste activity as a quick warm up after first teaching the Pythagorean Theorem and its Converse. The 2nd page has 3 sets of cards. Each student needs to cut out a set of cards and place them in the appropriate places on the 1st page. At the top of the page, they will label the right triangle with the names of each side (leg or hypotenuse) and the variables that represent the length of each side (a, b, or c). In the middle of the page, students must rearrange the pieces of the formula. At the bottom of the page, students must use the converse to determine if the sets of 3 side lengths for a right triangle or do not form a right triangle.
