Pythagorean Theorem (Includes Converse and Word Problems) Scavenger Hunt
This 20 question Pythagorean Theorem Scavenger Hunt reviews the following three concepts:
1) Find a missing leg or hypotenuse of a right triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem. Both basic and complex problems that require more than one step included.
2) Use the Pythagorean Theorem Converse to determine if a triangle is acute, right, or obtuse.
3) Solve word problems using the Pythagorean Theorem.
This activity was created for a high school level geometry class.
Simply print the 20 problems and scatter around the room (and in the hallway if possible), give each student a recording worksheet, group students, and assign them a place to start. The answer they get will lead them to their next problem. They continue looping around until they have completed all 20 stations.
