This 16-page packet includes 20 task cards with QR coded answers and 20 without coded answers as well as three Pythagorean Theorem worksheets.
The Task Cards:
Each set of 20 task cards is numbered from one to twenty. The questions and answers for each set are the same so that teachers can create task card sets with all QR codes, no QR codes, or a mixture of some with and some without. Cards are formatted four to a page. A student answer sheet with plenty of white space for working out each problem is also provided. Use these task cards as warm ups, reviews, a desk-to-desk “Scoot” game, or post them around the room to get students' bodies and brains circulating.
The 3 Worksheets:
1) The “Finding the Length of a Hypotenuse” worksheet has 10 problems: four in which students are given the value of ‘a’ and ‘b’, three pictures with the leg lengths labeled, and three right triangles on a grid.
2) The “Finding the Length of a Leg” worksheet has 12 problems: four in which students are given either ‘a’ or ‘b’ along with ‘c’ and eight pictures with one leg length and the hypotenuse length labeled.
3) The “Mixed Practice” worksheet has 13 problems: four in which students are given two of the three side lengths as ‘a’, ‘b’, or ‘c’, six pictures of right triangles with two lengths labeled, and three right triangles on a grid.
Apply the Pythagorean Theorem to determine unknown side lengths in right triangles in real-world and mathematical problems in two and three dimensions.
