You can give your students the chance to practice the Pythagorean Theorem with this set of 24 cactus themed task cards. These task cards give students two different sides of a triangle and students need to find the third side. The cards alternate between a missing leg or a missing hypotenuse. There is a wide mix of word problems, diagrams of triangles, and descriptions of triangles.
Use these task cards in centers, as a scavenger hunt, in groups, as a self-start, a fast finisher, or ticket to leave. Keep track of what types of problems the students struggle with so you know what to review. I like to laminate these task cards so that students can draw on them with dry erase markers and the cards can be reused.
