Description

This geometry lesson covers the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse.

It includes notes, practice, a quiz and a lesson plan. This lesson is preparing students to recognize when to use Pythagorean Theorem. Students will practice using real-life problems, rectangles, right triangles and isosceles triangles. Students will learn how to use the converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine if a triangle is right, obtuse, acute or not a triangle. Students will use a coordinate plane to find the distance between two points using a scaffolded learning activity.
