Product Description
This activity consists of twenty coordinate planes with a line segment plotted on each. Students are instructed to find the length of each line segment by constructing a right triangle with the given segment as its hypotenuse and then using the Pythagorean Theorem to find its length in simplest radical form and decimal form. Once the twenty problems are complete and the puzzle is solved, students will learn a unique and interesting piece of trivia!

Extension:
When introducing the Distance Formula, I refer to this activity. Students find the coordinates of each segment’s endpoints and make a connection between the steps using the Distance Formula and the steps using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the segment’s length.
