An animation story. This culminating activity allows kids to express themselves. They design their own storyline. They design their own animations. However, the animation topic is already preset by the CA. They have to plan it on paper to your satisfaction and then they get to code it. Just be prepared for a noisy classroom as kids look at other creations in class. 3 versions of every student handout with a rubric.
There are several advantages of using 3 different versions especially in classrooms where the seating is tight. The versions would be given consecutively around the room so that students sitting together would each get something slightly different. This way students have different examples of the same exercise so they can work together to determine how something works. It also minimizes the amount of copying within the class.
This is the second of 3 resources. As a culminating activity this package will challenge the student to prove their understanding by creating something new by combining the concepts they have learned. This will determine whether or not a student has completely synthesized the material presented in the two previous packages.
