Here's an easy-to-make, super cute alphabet book your students will want to read over and over again, long after Christmas is just a memory! This is a fun class project from start to finish, as children write and illustrate the pages for all 26 letters of the alphabet. The riddle-like format makes the book especially fun to read!
Modeled on Mary Elting's picture book, Q is for Duck, the first page asks a question, and the second answers it. (For example, "A is for Christmas. Why?" "Because of the angel on top of the Christmas tree.") Children will illustrate both pages--the first with a generic Christmas picture, the second with a specific illustration to match their answer.
The file contains a printable cover (I love the cute frame from KB Konnected), a page for each letter of the alphabet, the "Because..." answer page, a list of Christmas words (gathered from books my students have made over the years) in case your kids get stumped, and complete EASY directions! Check out the preview and thumbnails for a closer look.
