Your students will enjoy the hands-on experience of painting the alphabet letters with Q-tips. It is a great activity to build fine motor skills, and the pincer grip which can be transferred to holding a pencil.
This activity will introduce your students to or reinforce their knowledge of the uppercase and lowercase letters as well as to give them a chance to learn or review some words that begin with that sound.
Each page has two identical worksheets reducing the amount of paper required.
All you need are Q-tips, a sheet for each student and watercolour or tempera paint.
This activity can be completed:
-In small groups
-independently or with teacher support
-As a center (literacy or math)
-As a guided activity
