This differentiated QR code addition activity is especially designed for little learners or QR code newbies! When you scan the QR code, two questions come up at once. For example, when you scan card #1, questions 1 and 2 will pop up. This saves student scanners some time in 1) hunting for the cards around the room, if that's how you design the lesson and 2) exiting out of one scan to get ready for another scan. It will maximize their engagement with the math rather than the QR code.
When you scan a QR code, 2 red questions and 2 blue questions will come up (differentiation!). Red questions are addition to 10 and blue questions are addition to 20. Place kids in a colored group before they begin the activity and they'll know exactly which questions to answer!
QR Codes can be scanned on any tablet or cell phone as well as laptops/computers with webcams! For tablets and phones, download a free QR Reader from your app store. For computers, just download Google Chrome and add a QR Reader extension.
