I created this nonfiction QR code listening center to complement my original fiction listening center
pack for those wanting to incorporate more nonfiction into their listening centers.
In this pack I have included:
-20 nonfiction stories
-2 listening response sheets (that can be used with any of the stories)
-A listening center sign (to post at your listening center)
When students scan a QR code, it takes them to a story on YouTube for them to watch and listen to. I used Safeshare to block out any ads or popups so that it’s safe for kids. Since these are live links, there is always a chance that they could become inactive. I will check the links periodically, but please let me know if one stops working so I can fix it or replace it with a new one ASAP. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or via the "Product Q&A" tab.
This center can be made into an interactive bulletin board that can stay up all year. The story cards could also be hole-punched and kept on a ring.
-Please be sure that your school doesn’t have YouTube blocked or else you will be unable to view the links.
-You may want to try out the “test code” (found in the preview) at your school to be sure there won’t be any issues with viewing the videos on your school network.
-Please also be sure that you have a device that can read QR codes (iPod Touch, iPad, tablet, or laptop/desktop with a camera)
To see a list of all the stories included, please check the preview.
Be sure to check out my original listening center pack, which includes 40 fictional stories HERE
