Fun math learning with technology! Students use QR codes to fill in dots on a ten frame.
Print and cut out QR code cards (laminate for durability). Students pick a card, scan the QR code, and read what number comes up. On their recording sheet, they draw that many dots in the ten frame with the corresponding letter. Students complete for all cards and then check their answers with the answer key. Also included is a response for students to do after completing the QR code activity.
This would be a great activity for a math station.
QR Code Tips
If you are new to QR codes, here is a little information about QR codes that might be helpful:
Students can scan codes with an iPod/iPad or another tablet where you can download a QR code app. For Apple devices (iPads/iPods) I like to download QR Code Reader by Scan which is a free app. For Android devices you can download QR Code Reader by Scan as well. Once the app is downloaded on the device, open up the app and students hold it over the card. The number will pop up on the device. I hope this is helpful information!
