This is a new favorite activity for my Kinders and I love how it is independent and integrates technology!
Print off the QR code popcorn sheets and cut out each popcorn piece. (I printed these on yellow paper to make it look more like popcorn.) Students choose a popcorn piece and scan the QR code. They then color the matching letter they see on the Popping ABCs recording sheet.
I chose to laminate the popcorn pieces to make them more durable and placed them inside a popcorn bucket from the dollar store.
This is a great way to work in technology, using ipads, ipod touches, etc. My students are great at sharing the ipad with their partner so you do not necessarily need 1 to 1 devices.
Included are 26 popcorn pieces which display the lowercase alphabet letter when scanned.
Differentiation can be done by giving students a recording sheet that has both lowercase and uppercase letters, or just uppercase to match the lowercase letter they see to an uppercase letter.
