This file folder ABC game is an engaging way to reinforce skills taught in the classroom and gives you immediate feedback! You can use it for your small group, activity center, or one-on-one instruction. Just cut out the game board and glue it on a file folder, then cut out the QR code cards. Laminate everything for long lasting memories!
All you have to do is download the QR Reader on your mobile device. Once the app is open, you are able to scan all the QR codes, which will come up as BIG, JUMBO uppercase letters of the alphabet.
Here's how to play...Set up your game pieces and rules. The first person take a QR code card and scans it with the mobile device. They have to correctly identify the letter in order to roll the di and move ahead. If they don't get it correctly, they simply do not get to advance. There is no going backwards for being incorrect. You can become the winner, by correctly identifying the letter and rolling the exact number of spaces to land on the winning star! It's that simple and loads of fun!
There are different variations you can use with the QR code cards as well. Instead of identifying the letters, you can make the letter sound, name something that starts with that letter, match or write the letter.
