With this print and play activity, students will have fun while practicing their rhythm listening skills. Using QR codes is a fun and engaging way to motivate students to listen critically and productively. This is a great activity for individual students, small groups, or even a whole class. It can be done with Chromebooks or iPads, with just one device or in a 1:1 setting. Super flexible and super fun!
Rhythms in this activity include quarter notes, quarter rests, and eighth note pairs.
Students will listen to a rhythm pattern (played with a QR code) and then find the matching written pattern. When the correct pattern is found, another QR code will reveal a correct answer. Directions are included on how to set up the activity for 1 or more students.
Here’s what you’ll need......
• A printer
• Paper in your preferred weight (4-5 colors if you will be doing multiple small groups)
• at least one iPad, Chromebook, or any device that has a QR reader with sound. Can also be used with multiple devices.
