Included in this set are eight QR code task cards that can be used multiple times a year! These QR codes can be used as a review or assessment of story elements (character, setting, problem, etc.).
Directions for use: Hang these QR codes around the classroom. Give your students an ipad, iphone, or android tablet with a QR code reader and the answer sheet. Have them hunt for the cards around the classroom. As they find each card, they should scan the QR code, read the question, and write their answer on their answer sheet. They may also be given the option to discuss their answers with other classmates.
The questions in these task cards include the following:
Gray– How would you describe the main character? Cite evidence to support your answer.
Orange—What is the problem in this story?
Red– What is the theme of the story?
Yellow—What is the setting in this story?
Pink—What can you learn about the story from the illustrations?
Purple—How was the problem solved?
Blue—Who is the main character in the story?
Green—What are two important events in this story?
