Technology meets fun treasure hunt Scan & Write Game! These 2 sets of Scan & Hunt games are fantastic for teaching children to use technology and how to write CVC words at the same time. This activity can keep your kids engaged actively while having fun writing, a WIN-WIN! This resource has 2 sets of 12 cards/words each, so a total of 24 QR Codes/Words to use.
Black & white or color cards are provided for your convenience. There are also 2 fonts available on the answer sheets so make sure you put out the font and worksheet style appropriate for your class. Each answer card is labelled for convenience.
Set out the cards (can be a table activity, hung around the classroom, corridor or outdoor learning environment). Children will need a device with a QR code reader app and internet access, a clipboard, recording sheet on a clipboard (if desired) and a pencil. You can allow children to work in pairs to work on collaborative skills. They should scan card #1 and write the word for that picture in box 1 on their recording sheet. They should then move to the next card until they get to #12. There is an answer page on the last code box for students to check their own work.
